Level 2 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

Every year thousands of lives are lost because of heart and circulatory diseases. But did you know that many of these lives could be saved by the appropriate and effective use of a defibrillator. With more Automated External Defibrillators now becoming available in public and work places, this course has been designed to enable you to use a defibrillator competently and confidently. In addition to AED training, this course explores resuscitation and choking procedures.

Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:-

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Resuscitation
  • Choking
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Heart attacks
  • AED safety
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Infection control
  • Paediatric defibrillation
  • AED functions
  • Defibrillation procedures

Course Details:

This course is taught at the Training Room FGH Security, in Lancaster.

The course takes 6 hours to complete and consists of both practical and theoretical content. Our courses can accommodate up to 12 students (minimum age 16 years). We accept both individual and group bookings, and are happy to provide exclusive courses for larger groups and organisations.

As a guide price, this course costs £60 per person (VAT free). However, group booking discounts are available. For a personal quote, please contact us.

Student assessment is ongoing by the course tutor alongside a multiple choice question paper. This course provides students with a three year qualification.
