What course did you do?
“Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing – Gym Based.”
Why did you do it?
“To gain knowledge and experience with a view to becoming a Personal Trainer or work in the Health and Fitness industry.”
What did you learn on your course?
“I learnt how to instruct in a safe and practical manner and how to set out the gym to best suit my workout plan. I also learned a great deal about anatomy and physiology.”
What was good about your course?
“The tutors explained clearly and were very friendly and approachable. There was a nice balance between classroom learning and using the gym areas.”
What have you taken away from your course?
“A great qualification, great friendships, great memories and the confidence and ability to work in the health and well-being sector.”
How are you now using what you learnt on your course?
“I have adapted my personal workouts to include a longer warm-up, I now have correct form and I understand the importance of stretching my muscles, ligaments and tendons daily. I also pass all this on to the Aikido Club, where I teach.”
