Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This course has been designed for those working with children and infants (including teachers, child minders and playgroup personnel) wishing to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award.

Our Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid course partly satisfies the guidelines laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted.

On this course you will learn a wide range of First Aid emergencies, providing you with the skills and knowledge to treat a casualty in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:-

  • Role of the Paediatric First Aider
  • Primary survey
  • Secondary assessment
  • Resuscitation and epilepsy
  • Airway obstruction
  • Wounds, bleeding and shock
  • Anaphylaxis

Course Details:

This course is taught at the Training Room FGH Security, in Lancaster.

Course length: 6 hours taught in one day.

Teaching methods: The course consists of both practical and theoretical content.

Capacity:  Our courses can accommodate up to 12 students (minimum age 16 years). We accept both individual and group bookings and are happy to provide exclusive courses for larger groups and organisations.

Student assessment is ongoing by the course tutor alongside a multiple choice question paper. This course provides students with a three-year qualification.
