This comprehensive course has been designed for professions including teachers, childminders and playgroup personnel wishing to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award.

Our Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course satisfies the guidelines laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted.

On this course you will learn a wide range of first aid emergencies, providing you with the skills and knowledge to treat a casualty in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:-

Responsibilities and reporting
Resuscitation
Fainting
Assessment of the situation
Head injuries
Choking
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Diabetes
Fractures
Infantile convulsions

Foreign bodies
Meningitis
Control of bleeding and shock
Anaphylaxis
Burns
Eye injuries
Heat and cold
Asthma
Sickle cell anaemia

Course Details:

This course is taught at the Training Room FGH Security, in Lancaster.

Course length: 12 hours taught across two days.

Teaching methods: The course consists of both practical and theoretical content.

Capacity: Up to 12 students (minimum age 16 years). We accept both individual and group bookings, and are happy to provide exclusive courses for larger groups and organisations.

Student assessment is ongoing by the course tutor alongside a multiple choice question paper. This course provides students with a three year qualification.
